+About this piece:
The soft colors and dainty size of these stones, reminds me of fairyland gems. The color is spectacular. The top stone is a translucent violet with pinkish undertones. The bottom stone is a gorgeous ombre blue with a naturally occuring pitted texture. These uncommon stones are set on a double layer of sterling with a hand patterned sterling band. The top measures 28mm in length. Best fits a size 6. It's the perfect pinky ring.
All sterling. Hallmarked. One-of-a-kind. Hand built in the heart of the West.
+About the stones in this collection:
Leland blue is a beautiful "stone" that is not technically a stone but is actually a by-product of the iron smelting process. When the industry failed in Leland, Michigan, the waste was dumped into the harbor. Today it can be found washed up on the shore around Leland. It's found in a variety of beautiful blues but a mix of chemicals causes it to appear in grey, green and purple, which are a bit more difficult to find.
+ All pieces are slowly and carefully handmade, in my studio in Sheridan, Wyoming. Because of this, each piece is unique and may contain the slight imperfections that you would expect with a handcrafted item. Perfectly imperfect!
+ As with all handmade jewelry, please be mindful to take care of it. It should not be worn in the shower, while cleaning, during strenuous activities such as sports, or in the water.
+ Sun, heat, lotions and chemicals can affect stones negatively. Clean silver (not stones) with a gentle polishing cloth, especially for jewelry (Sunshine polishing cloth is recommended).
