Turquoise has been mined in China for over 2000 years. Hubei turquoise comes from the Hubei Province. As American mined turquoise becomes scarcer, Chinese turquoise has grown in popularity. Hubei ranges in color from yellow, brown, light blue, aqua, deep blue and everything in between. Hubei typically presents with an intricate matrix, much of it tan, brown, gray or black. Backed.
