Malachite Chrysocolla T86

Chrysocolla stone, a copper silicate, blends well with Malachite, a copper carbonate. This colorful blue and green gemstone material is found in the oxidation zone of major copper deposits. Chrysocolla-Malachite is fragile and is usually stabilized before cutting into cabochon stones or cut with a hardening resin. It is about a 3-4 on the Moh's scale and care must be taken when wearing or cleaning your cabochons. Measures 22x10 and 19x14mm.
