New Lander Chalcosiderite and Sterling Ring adj 8 3/4
+Artist's Sample Sale: The pieces in this sale include one-offs, class samples and pieces from my personal collection that I found difficult to part with, at discounted prices!
One of my very favorite stones, this ring is set with two large pieces of absolutely gorgeous, new lander chalcosiderite (sometimes called variscite). The creamy, dreamy green of these stones makes this statement ring especially striking. New lander, a cousin to turquoise, takes a very hard, lovely shine. It's simply set, to feature the stones, on a triple layer of silver. The back, and wide band, are beautifully patterned and set with my hallmark. The top is approximately 44mm by 27mm.
Adjustable size 8 3/4.
All sterling. Hallmarked. One-of-a-kind. Hand built in the heart of the West.
+About new lander:
New lander is a form of chalcosiderite, a cousin to turquoise, that grows alongside turquoise and can be distinguished from both turquoise and variscite by color variations. It features unique greens, as well as oranges and yellows, with a beautiful black matrix. The patterns of this stone make it very striking. Stones from the new lander mine are high, jewelry-grade quality and are highly sought after.
+ Details:
+ All pieces are slowly and carefully handmade, in my studio in Sheridan, Wyoming. Because of this, each piece is unique and may contain the slight imperfections that you would expect with a handcrafted item. Perfectly imperfect!
+ As with all handmade jewelry, please be mindful to take care of it. It should not be worn in the shower, while cleaning, during strenuous activities such as sports, or in the water.
+ Sun, heat, lotions and chemicals can affect stones negatively. Clean silver (not stones) with a gentle polishing cloth, especially for jewelry (Sunshine polishing cloth is recommended).
