New Lander Nugget and Sterling Necklace
Look at these dark beauties!
These are new lander variscite nuggets and it is rare...very rare...to see them in bead form. These have a very dark, almost black matrix and are spotted with soft greens and teals. They're especially spectacular and I've been hoarding them for years. Until now.
The clasp is handmade, all sterling, hand stamped with American Indian made metal stamps. My maker's mark is stamped on the back. Length is approximately 18".
This material is very hard to get in nugget bead form and is priced accordingly. If you're looking for heirloom jewelry that no one else will have, this is your piece.
+All sterling. One-of-a-kind. Hallmarked. Hand built in the heart of the West.
+About new lander:
New lander is a form of chalcosiderite, a cousin to turquoise, that grows alongside turquoise and can be distinguished from both turquoise and variscite by color variations. It features unique greens, as well as oranges and yellows, with a beautiful black matrix. The patterns of this stone make it very striking. Stones from the new lander mine are jewelry-grade, high quality and are highly sought after and rare.
+ Details:
+ All pieces are slowly and carefully handmade, in my studio in Sheridan, Wyoming. Because of this, each piece is unique and may contain the slight imperfections that you would expect with a handcrafted item. Perfectly imperfect!
+ As with all handmade jewelry, please be mindful to take care of it. It should not be worn in the pool, shower, while cleaning, during strenuous activities such as sports, or in the water.
+ Sun, heat, lotions, sunscreen and chemicals can affect stones negatively. Clean silver (not stones) with a gentle polishing cloth, especially for jewelry (Sunshine polishing cloth is recommended).
