Red River Folded Bezel Ring sz 8
This dreamy, icy piece of red river turquoise can't be beat. The color is spectacular and the pattern makes me think of puffy clouds. This is one of my favorite turquoises from China. It's set in my unique, silver folded bezel setting. This setting makes for a simple but one-of-a-kind piece. The edges are hand textured. The band is hand forged from a vintage die. All silver marked with my artist's hallmark. This ring best fits a size 8 and is not adjustable. The face of the ring is approximately 25mm by 13mm.
Small batch. All sterling. One-of-a-kind. Hand built in the heart of the West.
+About red river turquoise:
Red river is a beautiful, rare turquoise mined from the Red River mine in Hubei province, China. It's actually a rare cousin to turquoise, called faustite. In the chemical formula of faustite, zinc replaces the aluminum found in turquoise. But you will see it called turquoise, on the market. Its shades of light teal, sky blue, and pale green with swirling, splotchy or blotchy patterns, and a light brown or reddish matrix, reminiscent of marbled paper make it a very desirable stone. It's a disappearing stone on the turquoise market.
+ Details:
+ All pieces are slowly and carefully handmade, in my studio in Sheridan, Wyoming. Because of this, each piece is unique and may contain the slight imperfections that you would expect with a handcrafted item. Perfectly imperfect!
+ As with all handmade jewelry, please be mindful to take care of it. It should not be worn in the shower, while cleaning, during strenuous activities such as sports, or in the water.
+ Sun, heat, lotions and chemicals can affect stones negatively. Clean silver (not stones) with a gentle polishing cloth, especially for jewelry (Sunshine polishing cloth is recommended and included with your purchase).
