Tourmaline Slice and Peridot Shard Earrings

From my studio in the foothills of the beautiful Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. I've always had an affinity for rocks. The gemstones in my Shard collection make me think of the many happy hours I've spent rock hunting. Rough gemstones...a fragment from a beautiful whole...a little piece of magic.
 
The top stones in these earrings are amazing watermelon tourmaline slices, rough cut on front and back. The bottom stones are faceted, bright green peridot. The color of both of these these gemstones is beautiful and vivid. The tourmalines are set in hand built sterling prong settings. The peridots are hand wrapped with sterling. Ear wires are hand made of sterling. These earrings measure approximately 1 1/2 inch from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the last stone.

+ All pieces are slowly and carefully handmade, in my studio in Sheridan, Wyoming. Because of this, each piece is unique and may contain the slight imperfections that you would expect with a handcrafted item. Perfectly imperfect!
+ As with all handmade jewelry, please be mindful to take care of it. It should not be worn in the shower, while cleaning, during strenuous activities such as sports, or in the water.
+ Sun, heat, lotions and chemicals can affect stones negatively. Clean silver (not stones) with a gentle polishing cloth, especially for jewelry (Sunshine polishing cloth is recommended).
