instructor + silversmith
Originally from Oregon, with a long stop in Texas, I now live in the wild west of Wyoming where my husband was born and raised. We're lucky to have an amazing place at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains. We live in a 121 year old farmhouse set on four acres of heaven that includes the prettiest barn in the county. We look out our back window at the mountains and out our front window at the creek. Deer, pheasant, wild turkeys, bald eagles, great horned owls and even moose and bear are regular visitors in our yard.
I've always been passionate about art...especially jewelry design. Through years of practice in metalsmithing and jewelry making techniques, I've developed a unique style of my own. I am blessed to finally have the amazing studio I've always wanted. When I'm not working on the farmhouse, or relaxing in the mountains, I spend a lot of time at the bench. I traveled the country, for years, to feed my love of teaching and discovered a true passion for sharing my knowledge of technique and design. As one of the first instructors to offer online jewelry making classes, I'm proud to offer excellent and inspiring creative content online and in person.
I'm the author of “The Jewelry Maker’s Design Book, (Quarry Books) and my work has been featured in numerous books and magazines, including a feature for Where Women Create and cover/feature for Belle Armoire Jewelry.
how it's made
When you own a piece of my jewelry, you're in posession of an original work of art. Each design is uniquely inspired and created completely by hand in my studio, in the foothills of the beautiful Big Horn Mountains near Sheridan, Wyoming. Each piece is made with the utmost care...slowly and in small batches. I begin with silver sheet, sterling wire, 24k gold and precious and semi-precious gemstones. Hours of designing, sawing, filing, texturing, soldering, polishing...and love...go into each piece. The result is one-of-a-kind jewelry, creatively inspired and built in the heart of the west.
